Transnational Project Meeting
10th – 11th November –
Satu Mare, Romania

Between 10 to 11 November 2016 the first project meeting was held in Romania with participation of all partners in the countries involved.
This meeting took place as a result of project approval delayed response of the Turkish partners. According to the application form first meeting was planned to take place in Turkey, but because of these delays partners decided at the proposal of the project coordinator to be organized in Romania. Rearranging the program and re-discussing the following activities and meetings was one of the important points discussed in the meeting with partners.
Partners in Croatia and Germany have arrived early one day, which allowed Romanian organizers to invite partners teachers present to attend some of the classes held in school - math, history,
English, Romanian, chemistry, activities for children special educational needs.
The classes were carried out by using alternative, active and participative methods of teaching in which students had the opportunity to express themselves freely, to work in teams to develop critical and self-critical assessment.
At the end of the day partner-teachers were asked to complete questionnaires to assess activities in which they took part.
The afternoon was dedicated to a brief visit to the Castle of Carei, to know the history of the area.
The first day, 10th November began with receiving the foreign guests by school officials. The partners could visit the school and know the facilities it offers.
The project meeting was held in the school throughout both days.
According to the application form submitted partners PPT material containing region and school activities and as well as aspects of the school.
Organizational issues related to the project were discuss as follows:
• activities proposed in the application form will be made exactly;
• transnational project meeting dates and activities of transnational teaching / training / learning were established by mutual agreement;
• Project partners have decided how to make the selection for the project logo;
• strengths and weaknesses identified by the European Commission were discussed. Participants decided by mutual agreement to take measures to improve the weaknesses of the project;

•The countries agreed on using twinspace and sharing the activities that will be performed in each school on using this tool
• sending Christmas cards and creating a projectdiary are other points discussed in the meeting and the importance of using innovative methods in the classes, which will create a book of methodical teaching through games.
• questionnaires will be drawn to determine the impact of the project among students, teachers, parents and the local community as well as to assess project status;
• the countries agreed on preparing the project magazine starting with the first TTALA held in Portugal;
The afternoons were dedicated to visits in Satu Mare to meet local history.
Project meeting was appreciated in the assessment questionnaire created by German partners. Following the interpretation of this questionnaire the following analysis was drawn up.
SWOT Analysis of the meeting:
Strong points:
• participants had the opportunity to meet both personal and region from which they come and schools in which they work;
• decisions jointly, which requires teamwork and collaboration;
• meeting was very important and was currently carrying out the project activities;
• unanimous positive assessment of the project site and the proposed program;
Weaknesses:
• Some partners have developed projects and came up with some background and misconceptions regarding the proceedings of the project activities which determined that finding common ground to be made more difficult;
• finding solutions for redistribution TTALA and TPM because of different school programme;
• different views on the implementation of activities;
Opportunities:
• according the questionnaire, there is the opportunity for the next TPM to be organized better, and problems encountered to be more easily and quickly identified and resolved;
• organizing TPM has proved its necessity , such meetings are a good opportunity to overcome obstacles which may arise the during the project;
Threats:
• the possibility that some partners may not be willing to amendments ,regarding the project, to be made;
• attempt to impose certain practices used in previous projects without taking account of the current project that has to be developed;
• resistance to change, inflexibility;
Each country presented their country region and school on PPT material.
According to the plan, the activities and implementations that will be done during the project have been discussed and decided the mobility dates of each country.
The dates have been changed according to school program of each country.
The activities in the project have been decided to be done as they were planned before.
The countries have determined the way of choosing the logo of the project by making a competition and election.
The weak and strong points of the project recommended by the European Commission have been discussed and all the participants agreed on taking majors to improve the weaknesses concerning mostly of dissemination activities.
The countries agreed on using twinspace and sharing the activities that will be performed in each school on using this tool.
The countries agreed on sending Christmas cards and creating project diary as well as the importance of having different subject taught through games during each TTALA as a starting point of creating the methodology book.
The questionnaires/surveys to determine the impact of the project on pupils, teachers, parents, local community will be used to evaluate the different stages of the project using the twinspace as well.
The countries agreed on preparing the project magazine starting with the first TTALA held in Portugal.
The meeting has been ended with good wishes by the all participants.
